We have had a guard in our library since last monday

I’m not quite sure if it’s apropiate that I feel like bursting into laughter every time he walks in. It’s not like he himself would be funny. Just that the whole consept is kinda ridiculous and so twisted it makes me almost laough out loud all the time.

Fun times.

Literally.

Someone just asked for books by Julius Caesar.

Not about Caesar or the play called Julius Caesar, but books BY him. I’m very happy to tell you I kept my face straight.

Where are the DVD movies?

- The unofficial Friday question.

Lamps

Today I’m working in a different library. It’s a small and almost empty, so I can hear theĀ  lamps being noisy. I mean the freaking LAMPS. It’s never this quiet in our library.

(OK, while I was writing this a dad with two kids walked in. that’s good, bit more life and bit less lamps.)

In Finland we have this saying about how the phone is never going to ring if you keep watching it.

Today is exactly the same except there are no phones involved.

PS. If you could send some customers my way that would be fab.

It feels like my head is filled with promises that were never given and I keep living again and again the moment where I feel like I could have done things better. It is anxiety behind the reference desk.

People obviously don’t care about their mittens

I just sorted out our lost and found and there must be atleast 50 pairs of lost mittens (pairs and single ones).

I could do something productive

and I would like to but since I’ve been left alone in the reference desk I can’t. So I guess I’ll just devode my time to you dear Tumblr.

Today I am not the referencedesk despite my location behind it

I’m obviously the answering mashine!

The overly happy guy is back!

Today he was mumbling by himself…

I am so sure that one guy was high. Not that I have anything against him, he was quite happy, but he most definitely had somehting extra in his system.

Little things make me happy today

I just saw a customer walking in and eating a carrot. Also the group of school kids visiting makes me happy.
